Copenhagen, Denmark, April 28, 2026 – Omnitrx introduces the application portfolio for Omni500, a configurable TSN automotive Ethernet platform designed for engineers working with 10BASE-T1S, 100BASE-T, TSN networking, CAN/LIN integration, zonal architectures, and software-defined vehicle networks.

Through software configuration and licensing, Omni500 can be configured as different automotive Ethernet test and development functions using the same hardware platform. This allows engineering teams to use Omni500 for edge-node emulation, protocol bridging, TSN switching, zonal control, media conversion, traffic monitoring, and timing distribution.

Supported Omni500 applications include:

TSN End-station: Edge-node emulation for 10BASE-T1S automotive Ethernet networks, used for sensor and actuator test and timing analysis. The 10M End-station solution includes MAC, TOD system, and optional MACsec for reliable ECU connectivity.

Gateway Protocol: Bridging between automotive Ethernet in-vehicle networks and legacy standards for integration and migration testing. The integrated gateway bridges T1S / T1 / BASE-T Ethernet with CAN and LIN networks.

TSN Switch: Traffic shaping and timing control for automotive Ethernet networks, used for forwarding, synchronization, and traffic behavior testing. The switch application supports 1G–5G automotive Ethernet switch IPs with TSN support, designed for ASIC implementation.

Zonal Controller: Central timing and traffic orchestration for automotive Ethernet setups, used to coordinate multi-node test environments. The Zonal Controller is a TSN-capable solution with switching, Root of Trust, and IEEE 1722-based transport encapsulation.

Media Converter Interface: Conversion between mixed Ethernet interfaces, including T1S, T1, BASE-T, and optical links.

Tap / Probing Node: Non-intrusive traffic monitoring, timestamp-based analysis, and debugging of automotive Ethernet communication.

GM-AS Grandmaster: IEEE 802.1AS time distribution across synchronized TSN networks.

Bridged End-station: Endpoint and bridge functionality in one setup for hybrid Ethernet communication scenarios.

10M / 100M End-station: Mixed-speed end-station configuration for migration testing between 10BASE-T1S and higher-speed automotive Ethernet domains.

7-Port TSN Switch: Multi-node TSN switch configuration for larger automotive Ethernet test environments.

TSN Switch with MACsec: Secure TSN switch configuration for testing encrypted automotive Ethernet traffic and TSN behavior together.

Across these applications, Omni500 supports IEEE 802.1AS / ASds synchronization, hardware TX/RX timestamping, TSN traffic control, traffic generation, monitoring, and latency analysis. Configuration and monitoring are handled through an embedded GUI tailored to the selected application, together with APIs and SDKs for automation and integration into development workflows.

With its multi-application approach, Omni500 gives engineering teams a flexible way to build, test, and analyze automotive Ethernet networks without changing hardware for each development task.
